We received a request via email from a client who needed a large hot spring bathtub with a wide rim design, capable of accommodating 4-6 people. Based on the client’s requirements, we designed an integrated 3D model and developed the final product.

03 Challenges
1. Unique and Functional Design:
- Challenge: The client provided only a concept with overall dimensions and the requirement for a wide rim, intended for 4-6 users.
- Solution: Designed a unique pentagon-shaped bathtub to ensure enough legroom for multiple users, incorporating internal circular seating with appropriate seat and backrest heights based on average human dimensions.
2. Large Size and Double-Layer Construction:
- Challenge: Creating a double-layer bathtub with a diameter of 1880mm, which was a first for our factory, requiring precise and professional assembly.
- Solution: Utilized a skilled workforce to handle the delicate and detailed assembly process, ensuring a stable and robust structure.
3. Structural Integrity and Water Management:
- Challenge: Ensuring the bathtub could support the weight of water and users without compromising structural integrity. This included integrating overflow systems and managing high water pressure.
- Solution: Incorporated internal supports to maintain structural stability and custom-designed overflow drains to prevent water from spilling over the edges. Developed a custom drain plug to withstand the high water pressure when the bathtub is full.
4. Packaging and Transportation:
- Challenge: Safely packaging and transporting a 470kg bathtub.
- Solution: Designed custom packaging with a reinforced steel structure on the bottom pallet to ensure safe transportation.
